Kiss Me!

By Chelsey5 @chelseysullivan

Today I want to share with you a delicious Valentine treat.

Kiss me cookies!

I love to make these big cookies to give to my kids and to my husband.

This year I have decided to share them on the blog too and to make them available for everyone to buy! (I will tell you how in a minute)

But before I do I want to show you how to make them too!

Kiss me!

Step 1. Get some sugar cookie dough. Roll it out. Simple enough right?

(This is not a recipe just an idea with what to do with your favorite sugar cookie recipes)

Kiss me!

2. Print out a picture of a big kiss.  Mine is 4X6. (Apparently, my printer is out of red ink)

Kiss me!

3. Place cookies on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake until slightly browned.

Let them cool completely.

Kiss me!
4.  Dip the big kiss in white chocolate. Dont worry about it being perfectly smooth or anything.

Let it dry and harden before the next step.

Kiss me!

5. Now I dont have any pictures of the painting process due to a missing camera card! (sorry)

But it’s fairly simple.

Melt some more white chocolate and thin it down by adding crisco to it then add a little bit of food coloring to tint it to the right shade of “lipstick” for your kiss.

Take a small flat paintbrush and make strokes in a curved motion. (see above)

Before you know it the lips start to take shape.

Once the chocolate dries you have a beautiful kiss cookie to share with the ones you love!

Kiss me!

I do have a warning for these cookies!

They have been known to cause extreme silliness!

Kiss me!

Example 1. You can see that this sweet child of 2 years old was taken over by the sillies.

Kiss me!

This sweet boy of 7 years tried very hard to stay calm when given the big kiss but eventually the sillies came over him…….

Kiss me!

His sillies were hardly containable at this point!

Then I must warn you the worst case of all was the adult male in my household that was given a cookie after a meal as a treat from his wife.

The silly was out of control!

Caution…

Kiss me!

Kiss me!

Kiss me!

Kiss me!

And last but not least………

Kiss me!

I know, I know scary right?

Don’s say I did not warn you.

Eat at your own risk.

Now I mentioned earlier that I would have these big kiss cookies available to buy.

I now have an Etsy shop!

If your unfamiliar with Etsy it is a website for people to sell handmade things.

In my case that would be baked goods!

So I am officially announcing the opening of Sullivan Bakehouse the online shop!

So if you want some of these cookies but dont have the time to make any.

Head on over to my shop and order!

I hope too much silliness does not occur. Or maybe I do.
