Kirk Franklin’s “God’s Property” Album Celebrates 20th Year Anniversary Of It’s Release

Kirk Franklin,  celebrated 20 years in the gospel music industry last year with a 20 Year In One Night Tour, and now the Grammy Award winning gospel artist,  “God’s Property” album is celebrating the  20th  year anniversary of its release.  The album was released May 1997.

At the time of its release, urban contemporary gospel had gained massive ground in the music industry, thus sending the album to its third position peak on the Billboard 200 album chart and making it the first gospel album to top the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, where it reached number one for five nonconsecutive weeks.
