DPRK state media reported on 12 November (Tuesday) that Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) attended a photo-op with participants in the 4th meeting of Korean People’s Army [KPA] personnel involved in psychological warfare or “political work with the enemy.”  Attending the photo-op were VMar Choe Ryong Hae (Director of the KPA General Political Department), Gen. Ri Yong Gil (Chief of the KPA General Staff), Gen. Jang Jong Nam (Minister of the People’s Armed Forces), Col. Gen. Pyon In Son (Director of the KPA General Staff Operations Bureau), Lt. Gen. Kim Su Gil and Lt. Gen. Ryom Chol Song.  Kim Jong Un’s last observed appearance was his visit to the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces Revolutionary Museum.

DPRK state media did not disclose the venue or date of the 4th meeting of KPA psychological warfare personnel, who are members of units subordinate to the Reconnaissance General Bureau, the KPA General Political Department and the KPA General Staff.  According to Yonhap, the previous three meetings of KPA personnel responsible for “political work with the enemy” were not publicized.  At the photo-op, Kim Jong Un said that “the service personnel for political work with the enemy reliably defend the forefront line for safeguarding the socialist system, firmly trusting and following the Party and leader only despite rain or snow, regardless of whether they are known or unknown. He highly appreciated exploits performed by them” and expressed “expectation and conviction that they would creditably fulfill their heavy yet honorable mission, firmly convinced of the final victory of the cause of Military-First (So’ngun) revolution.”  According to KCNA, “all the participants were filled with firm determination to thoroughly implement the militant tasks set forth in the historic letter of Kim Jong Un and the resolution made in their letter of pledge to him.”
