Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) visited the funeral parlor for General Administration of Civil Aviation Director Kang Ki Sop (Kang Ki-sop) on January 22 (Sunday).  Also attending the wake with Jong Un were Korean People’s Army [KPA] General Political Department Director and State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman VMAR Hwang Pyong So (Hwang Pyo’ng-so), State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman and Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Vice Chairman for Workers’ and Social Organizations Choe Ryong Hae (Ch’oe Ryong-hae), Chief of the KPA General Staff VMAR Ri Myong Su (Ri Myo’ng-su), Minister of the People’s Armed Forces Gen. Pak Yong Sik (Pak Yo’ng-sik) and WPK Organization Guidance Department Deputy Director Jo Yong Won (Cho Yo’ng-wo’n).

Jong Un paid “silent tribute to Kang Ki Sop, revolutionary solider who not only fulfilled an important flight duty in a responsibile manner after growing up to be a competent flight guiding official thanks to the particular trust and loving care of President Kim Il Sung (Kim Il-so’ng) and leader Kim Jong Il (Kim Cho’ng-il), but also successfully ensured the operation of the international and domestic regular air service and thus raised the international prestige of the Party and state and made a great contribution to develop the nation’s air transport.”  After paying his respects, Kim Jong Un and the other visitors expressed met with Kang’s family to express their condolences.
