Kerrang! Editor James McMahon has applied for the Coventry City job with this hilarious application letter.

Steven Pressley was sacked by struggling Sky Blues after the League One side slipped into the relegation zone this weekend. In a bid to turn the club’s fortunes around James McMahon has posted this letter to Coventry City to see if he can help revive their season using tactics such as “scoring more goals than we concede” and “making the strikers kick the ball towards the goal more”.

The letter was posted on Instagram this afternoon.

This isn’t the first time the Kerrang! editor has reached out to the football community. Last year McMahon wrote a protest letter against certain Leyton Orient fans for singing the song:

“Oh East London, is wonderful, Oh East London is wonderful, full of t***, f***** and Orient, oh East London is wonderful”.

The appeal was covered by various titles including the Daily Mirror.
