Keeping Cool with Computers: People Skills

No reason that the internet connection wasn’t working that I could tell – our other computer was – and I’m not a techie – so I have a choice – like always –

Be completely irritated and upset – my initial feelings….

Or – take a deep breath and say to myself – “Okay – I can do this….” Which is also a call to action to use my mind in better ways – not my initial reaction of the old days –

The old days – like yesterday or whenever I make choices I am not happy with –

I did take a breath (great technique for dealing with your own irritations and others)

I did figure it out – or you wouldn’t be reading this…

And it reminded me again that in each moment – no matter what we are confronted with or encounter – we have choices about our reactions and actions – it’s a power we have – many of us don’t use it well – or often enough however it’s a power we do have.

So the call for me today is: Keeping cool – with computers, with commuters, with co-workers – with people, things, pets or anything – is my choice –

I like that word – cool – it’s cool to be cool – to keep your head, to figure it out – and it works!

Today – take a breath – know you can fix, alter, shift and do – whatever it is you need or want to – and if you personally run into a snag – one action may be to enlist others to help you out, or pay for expertise, or read the manual –

It’s up to us – we can keep our cool and be cool – or blow our top and get hot –

Which works better…. Like most things in life and work – you decide!

Remember, you create your day by the way you think! Make it magnificent!

Blessings, Shawna
