Posted on the 01 July 2013 by Zafar @seompdotcom

Design is one of those things that changes frequently. Design trends which worked well and were well received last year are not performing as well this year. Each year see’s new trends, and in order to keep up with your competition and engage with your audience, you need to make sure your designs are up to date with the latest trends.
Keeping your design portfolio up to date with the latest trends is important, and can be a difficult thing to do. One of the best ways to find out what’s hot and what’s not at the moment is by looking at great examples of recent design works; if you look through enough examples, you should start to notice trends among them, and if all of the work you’re sampling is recent work, then you can be pretty sure that these are modern design trends… things which you should be incorporating into your own designs.
Bearing that in mind, in this post we have listed 20 of the most beautiful print designs as examples of modern design trends. Browse through these samples and see for yourself what’s currently trending in the world of print design:

As you can see from the samples above, there are many elements that go into modern design, but you should of picked up on the great use of typography and simplicity among the designs. These are two elements which have been gaining ground in the design arena over the first half of 2013 and show no signs of slowing down.
If you’re designing for print, then you will of course need a printer – for printing I always use www.nextdayflyers.com, they can print pretty much any type of marketing material you need – plus plenty of personal materials too; they can print flyers, brochures, business cards, catalogues, postcards, envelopes, newsletters, bookmarks and much more, and all at some of the most competitive prices in the industry.
Hopefully this post has helped inspire you with some creative design ideas, and given you an understanding to some of the basic design trends for use in 2013. If you still find yourself lacking inspiration, just do a search on google images and you’re bound to found countless items of inspiration there.
