Now that I’ve set your fangirl heart aflutter, take a deep breath and brace yourself because this is really happening.

The pop star took a break from his lavish lifestyle as a business mogul and released a video message on Thursday teasing his return to music.

The minute long clip shows off Timberlake’s assets (others would say the camera simply follows behind the pop star) as he walks through a recording studio. Meanwhile, a Timberlake voiceover discusses the lengthy gap between albums.

“I’m the one that sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it,” Timberlake says. “As close as I get to it, I don’t think I can physically torture myself that much, year in and year out, and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now.”

Rather than put out music just for the sake of being on the airwaves, Timberlake states that he has no desire to release something he isn’t enamored by.

“You just don’t get that every day,” he says. “You have to wait for it.”

The video closes as Timberlake enters the recording booth. Putting on the headphones, Timberlake speaks into the microphone: “I’m ready.”

While the video is available on YouTube, it’s best viewed on Justin Timberlake’s website. How else are you going to keep track of the countdown?

On the website’s homepage, an active countdown is placed above the video. Judging by the clock, we have less than three and a half days until Timberlake’s next announcement- or even music release.

Billboard shed some light on the most credible tweets seemingly affiliated with Timberlake’s video message:

The next announcement is due Sunday night, tentatively coinciding with a tweet that producer Charlamagne posted yesterday: “Justin, Jay Z Timberland. New record Monday,” he wrote.

Justin Bieber tweeted at Timberlake right after the announcement was made: “I have heard some stuff,” Justin Bieber said. “U got a good reason to be ready.”

You can check out the video message below.
