Today is "Throwback Thursday" on Instagram (follow me "ZakiaLacey") so I posted these old pictures of my daughter and I. I remember these days like it was yesterday, Zahara was such a sweet baby.
She only cried when she was hungry or if she had gas. She made being a single mom much easier than I expected. Everyone always talks about how difficult it is to be a single parent, but what about the precious moments like the picture above? Those moments don't get the recognition that they deserve. The bond that most of us have with our babies can make some of the toughest times become so beautiful.
