Jr Smith & Wife Jewel Spent the Weekend in Miami with Miracle Baby Dakota & Daughters Peyton and Demi

JR Smith and his wife Jewel headed to Miami for some much needed R&R with their miracle baby Dakota, and daughters Peyton and Demi.

The trip to Miami is special, because it marks the  first ever trip the family has taken with young Dakota, who was born five months early this past January and weighed less than a pound.

She has managed to overcome the insurmountable odds, however, and next week the youngest member of the Smith family will turn seven months old.

After Dakota was born prematurely in January, Smith told ESPN.com that Dakota’s  health was of the utmost importance.

“I’ll be happy when I can bring her home, but until then, it’s something I want to keep in the front of my mind all the time,” he said in March. 

“I talk to my wife about it. Just keep having conversations about it. It’s pretty much the only thing that relieves some of the pressure.”
