Bollywood actor John Abraham who was recently seen in the successful Shootout at Wadala has reportedly bought the remake rights of Blockbuster Telugu film Mirchi starring young Rebel Star Prabhas. The actor apparently was very impressed with the film and though that it would appeal to the mass audience as well as the multiplex audience in Hindi cinema. However this is not the first remake the actor has starred in, in the past he has acted in the remake of Kaakha Kaakha starring Suriya (Gharshana in Telugu starring Venkatesh).
Even in the recent past there were talks about the actor starring in the remake of Vettai (Thadaka in Telugu) sharing screen space with his Dostana co-star Abhishek Bachchan however things didn’t go beyond the talks. Let’s hope everything materializes with this remake and there are no casting issues and last minute drop outs.
