Cynical comedian Janeane Garofalo has pissed off the radical right – again (not that it takes much). During a recent interview with Keith Olbermann, Garofalo went in about Herman Cain and his presence among the Tea Party.

I <3 her so much!

Janeane Garofalo: “Herman Cain is probably well liked by some of the Republicans because it hides the racist elements of the Republican party. Conservative movement and tea party movement, one in the same.

“People like Karl Rove liked to keep the racism very covert. And so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity say you can say ‘Look, this is not a racist, anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look we have a black man.’”

Of course, not missing a beat Fox News and the like have jumped on Garofalo’s statements by labeling them as “liberal racism.” Especially since it is hard for them to possibly read into the liberal pundit’s statements, instead they do what comes natural – point fingers and attempt to explain later.

Granted, with their demographic – it is not that surprising. Even on the Fox website, where Garofalo’s audio was placed, that particular post was labeled as “offensive” by those that peruse that page.

Seriously, Fox News?

It is amazing how quickly news organizations will dish out their opinion on liberal news but if there is any ounce of retaliation, they get “offended.” Sad to say, this probably won’t end anytime soon, especially with us thick in such an already-heated upcoming election.
