James Vincent McMorrow Brought Thalia Hall to Tears [Photos]

There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience last Wednesday as James Vincent McMorrow performed the last show of his 2015 tour at the beautiful Thalia Hall. Opening for him was Kevin Garrett, who had the crowd hooting as he preformed songs off of his latest EP Mellow Drama along with a mesmerizing cover of “You Send Me” by Sam Cooke.

Garrett’s soulful sound lead us seamlessly into James Vincent McMorrow’s enchanting performance. I had goosebumps from start to finish, as he played songs off of his latest album Post Tropical, along with a few standouts from previous albums such as “If I Had A Boat” and “Higher Love”. His angelic voice along with his piano and guitars were all it took to leave us in complete awe.
