Those are the words directly from the website above.  Jags fans are pushing for a Tebow signing so bad it hurts.  And you know what, I’m all for it.  Tebow should have been there in the first place.  See, I’m a Tim Tebow fan and if I ran the Jags, you know why  I’d sign him:  He doesn’t lose.  Show me the last time that guy had a losing season?  At Florida he captured two National Championships and a Heisman Trophy.  In Denver, when the starting job was handed over to him, he went to the NFL Playoffs and won.  On top of all of that, he’s from the area.  People would immediately show up to watch him play and ESPN would probably move their home offices to Jacksonville because of their disgusting obsession with Tebow.  I mean what part of this doesn’t make sense?

However, I get the “negatives” attached with signing him.  The media frenzy that would ensue would be ridiculous.  Round the clock coverage, in depth previews and reviews and again, ESPN basically trying to pull Tebow’s pants off every chance they get.  Maybe for a first year head coach this isn’t what you want, but at the same time, that team is dreadfully bad.  Chad Henne doesn’t need to be playing quarterback and Blaine Gabbert probably isn’t the long term answer.  If they lose, they can draft Bridgewater from Louisville and start fresh.  If they win, people will come and watch and probably spend a lot of money in doing so.  It’s a win/ win situation for Jacksonville, but it probably won’t happen.  People are so hung up on the fact that this guy can’t run a normal offense while the read option (something he runs well) is being used more and more in the NFL.  He and Maurice Jones-Drew would be a force to be reckoned with in the read option.  Sure his accuracy is below average, but again, the guy wins games.  Just sign him so we can move on.

P.S. The 3:16 references are completely out of control.
