New York City’s very poppy duo of childhood friends, Jack and Eliza, have a breezy, minimalistic take on 60′s-hued pop. Their debut single, “Hold The Line”, demonstrates their prowess in songwriting, simplistically layering a few elements to create a wistful and memorable tune. The duality between the sweet, high range of vocal harmonies and soft electric guitar is the focal point of the track, seemingly weaving together and apart at just the right moments. It’s not often a song so melodious is kept afloat percussively by the occasional tap of a tambourine. Like the gentle caress of a sea breeze, the warm whispers of Jack and Eliza will leave you in a haze of radiant, summery nostalgia. Once again, another young act to watch.
