AnywayToday was an early startEspecially for meAs I didn't sleep well at all last nightAt 1amWhen I still couldn't sleepI took a days medsThat did the trickAnd I did fall asleepBut it has left me one days meds short nowSo I really need to ration what I have leftI have under two days meds for three daysIf I though about that too muchI would worry and stress and fretAnd wouldn't enjoy the rest of my holidaySo I am going to forget all about it
So This morning we woke earlyAnd got up at 6 30amWe stumbled around our roomTrying to wash Dress And packWe had breakfast in the kitchen instead of the roof terraceAs it was a bad dayThere are two little women in the kitchenWho make all kinds of beakfastEvery morning I've been having toast and a boiled eggBut this morning I had an omeletteJust with salt and pepperDeliciousHaving breakfast is quite the revelation for meAt home I don't usually have any thingAnd if I do it's something sillyLike three biscuitsBut here I've been eating a substantial breakfast And keeping it down That keeps me going until lunch time When I might have cheese on toastAnd againNo purgingHowever I have been purging my main mealBut the thing isI don't always feel like purgingIt's more out of habit than anything else
Anyway The two little women in the kitchen help us with our breakfast And usually we then go to the roof terraceWhere there are another two women Who make tea or coffee But as I said This morning we ate in the kitchenWe ripped both the kitchen and house keeping staffAs they have been greatEvery day when we head outThe staff clean our roomLeave fresh towels and toiletries Clean bed linen Even folding out pyjamas So they really earned their tip
Packing this morning was funnyIn a kind of I want to pull out my hair funnyAs usual We all brought far too many clothes with usAnd bought so much stuffTrying to fit it all in to our suitcases was a military operationBut After much struggle And with the air blue from cursingWe got them closedAnd we hauled them down to receptionWe thanked all the staffAnd called a taxiAnd off we went on the next leg of our trip
We arrived at the airport in good time for our 11am flightWe checked in Made our way through securityThe plane was delayed so with the hour in the air and another hour waitingWe arrived in Izmir at about 1pmNext we had to find a train to take us to the town we were staying called SelcukThat was a palavaWe found information And the metro stopSaw there was a train going at 2 pmWent to buy a ticketBut were told we had to buy it at a different boothWhere there was no oneWe asked again And they said someone would be along shortly 50 minutes we waitedI shit you notWe almost missed our train And I almost lost the will to live
So that was fine We had our tickets We were on time for the trainWhich came a short time later We each had a huge case And loading them off and on transport was not fun at allBut we did it And made it to Selcuk in one pieceFrom there we got s taxi to the hotelWhat a relief to finally drop our bags and sit down Oh the comfort and the luxury of it all after a long journeySo it is from my hotel bed in my complimentary slippers that I write this postIn starting to flag nowAnd am kind of ready to go home To see my dogsTo have a proper ham sandwich And sleeping in my own lovely bed
