Italian Summer 1965: the Mont Blac Tunnel, the Hit Parade and the Beatles

By Xxlauraxx @all4italy
We are at the end of this summer but I enjoy to remember the songs of the 60s that have inflamed our grandparents and / or our parents. Do you want to know the summer tormentoni  in  1963 to 1964 ? Here the links. What happened in 1965? There were some other wonderful  songs! That year the Mont Blanc tunnel was opened: It was an historical moment both for the tourism and the trade. France and  Italy, divided  by the majesty of very high mountains, were now unified by a 11 kilometers tunnels. It was July 16, 1965. The juke boxes on the beaches  were full of the great successes of the year . In these years a group of singers called “ gli urlatori” moved away from the classic Italian melody. They were the disobedient singers and all the young people came crazy for t hem. Morandi, Mina, Celentano, Rita Pavone and many others. The music was changing!  One more magic moment during the summer of 1965  was on June 24 when  the Beatles  arrived in Italy for their first Italian concert... pure panic among the fans.
Here's the hit parade of 1965! Let’s  go to sing or dance…what you prefer.
