Perhaps one of the greatest pieces of movie news so far in 2012. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are returning to our screens as the comedy duo, Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne. According to Director Peter Farrelly, they begin shooting in September.
The news has spread like wild fire. And why should it not? Dumb and Dumber continues to be one of the finest comedies in film history....ever. And after the catastrophically disappointing prequel 'Dumb and Dumberer', the excitement to see the real boys, from the 1994 original, is second to none. There's no doubt that Carrey and Daniels will get the job done properly.
Finally, after 18 long years, our dreams have finally come true. We know that this film will certainly make a fantastic belated christmas present. Forget about 2012 and bring on 2013!
UPDATE September 2012: The confirmed title for the sequel is 'Dumb and Dumber To'. Fitting, no?

UPDATE June 26th 2012: Jim Carrey has reportedly left the sequel, due to a 'lack of enthusiasm' from New Line and Warner Brothers. It's difficult to determine what will now become of the film, as Carrey was responsible for making the 1994 original so hilarious. Who knows whether the project will go ahead at at all now? We'll have to wait and find out. We'll be updating this post as soon as we have further information.
