Boston’s pop boys Pretty & Nice are back with a crackin’ new single, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Wizards”, to freshen up your summer playlist. Gliding along with groovy syncopation, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Wizards” is an infectious pop track with a psychedelic punch. Maintaining the same quirky spirit of past releases, the track showcases the group’s careful precision in the clever layering of synths of all varieties, whirring vocal harmonies, a buzzing bassline and timely pauses. Melodically enchanting, the track builds the aforementioned elements into a hypnotic frenzy before releasing into downward-spiraling psychedelics. “Rock ‘n’ Roll Wizards” is the first track off of Pretty & Nice’s Infinitely Forever EP, which is out on August 12th. Collaboratively released through Pax Natural, everydayisamixtape and Lost Colony Music, the EP includes another new track and three remixes of old favorites.

The band has the new EP available at all their shows in several awesome, limited edition colors. You can also pre-order the digital here, the tape edition at their Bandcamp here and read a note to their fans announcing their hiatus on their Facebook page. It’s sad to know there will be no more music coming from these guys for awhile, but the letter is very lovely and stirring. We’re absolutely going to miss this perfectly woozy band, but at least we have an awesome track to go out on!

Hear the new material at either of the Infinitely Forever record release shows:

8/14 – Glasslands Gallery (Brooklyn, NY) w/Jacksie, Adult Dude, Denizen
8/16 – Great Scott (Allston, MA) w/Ava Luna, Krill, Infinity Girl
