It’s a Far Drive for Crystal Castles

Crystal Castles have been busy. The dancey, kind-of-goth duo posted a song from their-as-yet-untitled new album yesterday, and you can stream that bad boy right here (via SoundCloud). After posting that, they further confirmed that the new album is just about ready, with a release date set sometime in late September. While the name of the album still isn’t out there, the duo have further stated (in an interview with NME) that their new album is basically going to sound like their last album.

Got it?

Well, after all of that, they also announced a short list of North American tour dates. Unfortunately, they aren’t Cleveland-bound, or even northeast Ohio bound. However, this is one of those instances where going the distance might just be worth it.

Crystal Castles will be taking the stage at October 10 Newport Music Hall in Columbus, just about two and a half hours south of Cleveland (just take I-71 South the entire way… seriously). Doors are at 7, with openers Health and Kontravoid. Get your tickets early and you save $3; it’s $27 before the show, $30 at the door. You can get tickets through PromoWest Promotions (who takes care of all the Newport’s shows) by clicking here.
