Hello everyone! Today I’m going to introduce you something I’ve been SO excited for weeks! Glasshouse Candles aren’t anything new, but this year they released something OH-SO-AMAZING – a pumpkin pie scented candle – perfect for Halloween.
For those who know me, Halloween has been my all-time favorite time of year. While traditionally it’s not a day celebrated in Australia, it has been in my family, thanks to my mother who’s Filipino and had a very strong American influence upbringing. But I find every year Australia has been embracing Halloween a little more, which I’m LOVING! So, more Halloween parties, more getups and more fun!
OK, let me start off by saying… all the amazing things you hear about this candle are true! I went searching all over the city and Eastern Suburbs for this candle, dragging my sister to three locations (when I purposed a fourth she wanted out of my car) and even tried to convince one shopper to sell me hers. PS. I didn’t win.
After not much luck, I ended up purchasing it online. I waited a couple of days and when I picked it up and opened the box it was packaged in, you could already smell the pumpkin. I fell in love instantly!
I love the box with delicately embossed Jack-O-Lantern faces and orange foiling details. But I particularly loved the glow-in-the-dark areas of the box, giving the overall presentation a big thumbs up from me. The only thing I didn’t like is the font used for the word “Halloween”. It wasn’t particularly gothic or Halloween related, but for what it’s worth it works somewhat. It’s just not my favorite.
The top notes are: Coconut, Orange, Pumpkin, with middle notes of Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Clove, Cumin, Maple and base notes of Caramelised Sugar, Musk, Vanilla, so it’s sweet with a hint of spice.
But the icing on the cake for this limited edition candle is that it comes with stickers to decorate to make it look extra festive.

UPDATE: The Glasshouse Halloween Pumpkin Pie candle is now SOLD OUT on their website. It’s sad and I sincerely hope they release it again soon.
