Insomniac

By Saurabh2461986 @saurabhslounge

war poems
Eyes wide open
Hit hard by insomnia
Empty eyes since nights
Or maybe turned blind
Watching the war in the eye
Trying to bury my eyes
Under a sheet to sleep tonight
Despite what I've seen today
Buildings turned to dust
Flesh evaporated away
In the melting heat
With no sign of life left
Healing the rust can be possible
But the scars always give an itch
I've found you all guilty of a crime
Of taking the lives of poor, the undefended
No one cares unless you do
Stop giving us the sleepless nights
And turning our cities into graveyards
It is a plea from an insomniac!
