Indie Game of the Week (WK #49/2012)

Posted on the 07 December 2012 by Gamezblogger @gamezblogger

What do you get when you combine Minecraft, Terraria, Borderlands, Warcraft and Halo?

You get Starforge, An indie sandbox game with elements from the genres of RTS, FPS, RPG, Voxel, Tower defense and physics. You get a game that deliver you everything a proper PC nerd needs!

Starforge is created by CodeHatch inc, a gaming company that wants to make sandbox games that allow players to easily create whatever kind of universe they want.

The game is supposed to bring you at least three different game play modes: Survival, Fort Defense and Fort wars.

Survival: is the basic mode, like Minecraft the players objective is to survive, craft, mine and build.

Fort defense: is the Co-op mode of Starforge, where players build a base and defend it from alien attacks.

Fort wars: is the Vs. mode of starforge. Two teams build bases and strive to destroy each others base.

Check out the trailer for starforge:

If you get the first impression that i got, you will go straight to www.starforge.com and download the demo and maybe even buy it.

And if you really like it you should consider donating to their indiegogo fundraiser at www.indiegogo.com/starforge.

I have huge respect for these kind of indie game makers like CodeHatch inc. Mainly because its only four guys (William S, Steve S, Kevin G and Nathan F) and they have come up with what i consider to be the game of the future. So keep up the good work.

Check out these pictures and have fun.
