Whatever type of food you like you'll discover samples, cooking demonstrations, food eating contests, fun recipes to inspire you're creations in the kitchen or at the backyard BBQ. Be sure to check the Indiana State Fair website or app for daily specials throughout the fair because each day will represent a different food. We know a lot of our friends will be there on opening day of Aug. 4th for Deep Fried Food Day.
Concerts At The Chevrolet Silverado Free Stage
One of the highlights of the State Fair are the Free Concerts at the Chevrolet Silverado Free Stage, and there are some big names come to the Fairgrounds this year. Among the amazing performers and musicians schedule to appear are George Thorogood & the Destroyers, Bret Michaels: The Party Starts Now Tour, Dashboard Confessional with The All-American Rejects, An Evening with Montgomery Gentry, the Pepsi Indiana Music Festival featuring The Why Store, The Easthills, Bigfoot Yancey, and Against The Clocks, the soul lifting Gospel Music Festival will be headlined by Anthony Brown and Kierra Sheard, and many more musical acts will take the stage. Each year the Indiana State Fair presents new and fun sites to see, and they're taking us sky high this season with the addition of the NEW Subaru Skyride. Get your camera's ready for some stunning shots of the Fairgrounds as you're carried upward aboard this ski chairlift ride that rises almost 35 feet above the ground. “We are always seeking new opportunities to offer our Fairgoers the best possible experience, and we believe this new attraction accomplishes that,” said Cindy Hoye, Executive Director of the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. “We are grateful for the support of NAME for their investment in this endeavor and Subaru’s continued partnership with the Fair.”
Did You Know? - Subaru vehicles are made in Lafayette, Indiana - another great Indiana tradition.
Fun Events At The Hoosier Lottery Grandstand
Look for many fun events to be held at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand like the Light Up the Night Illuminated Tractor Parade and Hot Air Balloon Night Glow on opening night of Aug. the 4th. There will also be Harness Racing, the Cheer-leading Competition, the Blue Ribbon Radio Controlled Racing, and much more, which are all Free Events to enjoy at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand during the Indiana State Fair.
