Independent Adoption Center, the leader in gay adoption among US adoption agencies, is participating in Pride celebrations across the nation this month, including San Francisco Pride on June 23 and 24.

Pleasant Hill, CA (PRWEB) June 16, 2012

In honor of LGBT Pride Month, the Independent Adoption Center (IAC) will have an information booth set up during the San Francisco Pride celebrations from June 23 to 24, 2012, where people interested in open adoption can find out more about the process and benefits.

“We celebrate LGBTQ families each year by participating in several Pride celebrations across the country,” said Ryan Schwab, director of marketing for IAC. “We have a long history of working with LGBTQ families and we’re proud to offer adoption services to this community.”
As the leader in gay adoption among US adoption agencies, IAC has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for best practices in LGBT-family adoption. IAC has always operated on the belief that good parenting is the key to good outcomes for children, and that any other criteria for adoptive parents is discriminatory.

Every year, IAC participates in Gay Pride Month celebrations in areas like Atlanta, Indiana, Los Angeles, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Houston, San Francisco and more. During SF Pride this year, IAC will have a contingent of staff and friends, as well as IAC alumni adoptive parents and children marching in the parade, and counselors educating people about open adoption at its information booth.

The San Francisco LGBT Pride celebration and parade is the largest LGBT gathering in the nation, with over 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors, and more than 20 stages and venues that draw in tens of thousands of people throughout downtown.
