In Germany but STILL Can't Ride, Though I Found a New Home!

By Kc2610 @kc2610
I thought my toe would be better by today and I would be able to ride, but no. This morning I rode my bike to the doctors (my first ride ever, which was quite convenient to be to the doctors) and he said that the infection was better but it was still very swollen and I had to go back on Friday again. Leonie will not risk it getting worse by being around the horses and having the infection come back, so I'm pretty much banned from the yard until I get the OK from the doc :( I said to Leonie "But I'm going to die of boredom!" and she said "well die at home with your toe resting!". I know that Seb and Chad are in extremely good hands though so I'm not worried. It will do Seb good to have Martin do some more training on him!
In Germany but STILL can't ride, though I found a new home!So today I kept myself occupied by riding my bike around and sorting out final plans of where I am going to live. I can now say that I have a home! I was able to get a special deal for the next 3 months at the Sportpark hotel. So although I don't have a kitchen or washing machine, it is actually cheaper to pour myself some cereal for breakfast, buy a roll or salad in the morning to take for lunch, and have a simple soup/sandwich meal for dinner or go down to the restaurant if I feel like a proper meal. I just wash my clothes by hand in the sink, and I will never be lonely as I know the staff here and they can teach me German. Plus the gym is right here on my doorstep and I can ride my bike to anywhere. It's just like being back at college really! Except I get my towels changed and my room cleaned ;) Perfect!

In Germany but STILL can't ride, though I found a new home!Tonight I'm settling down with my "Broccoli Nudeltopf" (whatever that is), a Brad Pitt film and my duvet :) Can life get any better!?
