Kids who joined the event.
The dignitaries.
Before lunch, we were entertained by the MSU TCTO dance troupe, Tambuli. They performed a series of local dances of Tausugs, Badjaos and Samals alike. We were so entertained that we can't take our eyes off the stage. Seriously, they need to perform elsewhere other than in the university campus. The #ILoveTheOcean pledge was led by the provincial governor. Everybody in unity gave his word and promise to spearhead the movement to protecting and caring for the ocean.
Tawi-Tawi is in the center of the coral triangle of Asia. And it is indeed needed that we all move for a better, cleaner and more beautiful ocean.
Then, the boodle fight began.
Didn't care to join the boodle fight. I am happier with my packlunch. :D
Here's a cute photo of an American who is trying his best to eat with bare hands. Too cute not to share. haha
After the event, they all headed to Pasiagan for the mangrove planting and clean-up activity to be held there. In sha Allaah, after few months to years, those planted mangroves will be a fish sanctuary for the future generation.Let us all move hand in hand in protecting our ocean. With unity, we sure can achieve everything. Clean ocean is a protected ocean.
Toodles,
