Prince George’s County Police’s Special Enforcement Divison uncovered an 
illegal jewelry operation in Hyattsville. It seems that stolen gold chains and other jewelry was brought to a grocery store kiosk in the La Grand grocery store in Riverdale. The home of the kiosk owner, 5505 Hamilton Street, was raided by the police. In the home they found stolen jewelry, a workshop to melt down the gold jewelry, and a bootleg convenience store. Arrests were made and the case is being turned over to the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Office.
