But as it turns out, the tour ends here for the software as Apple has officially ended support for QuickTime for Windows. This means, there will no longer be security patches for QuickTime users running Windows.

So why the urge to uninstall the software?

Well, as it turns out, hackers have already found two massive vulnerabilities they can use to manipulate the software to hack your computer, according to Trend Micro.

With Apple ending support for the software, there will be no fix for these vulnerabilities. Trend Micro hasn’t spotted any attacks against Windows PCs at the moment, but it could happen anytime.

The wisest thing you can do right now is to uninstall QuickTime as fast as you can.
