When Apple introduced iOS 8 to the developers during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, it also introduced the updated iCloud for Windows which is in the form of an executable software application just like Dropbox and Google Drive.  iCloud Drive for Windows brings direct iCloud drive access and sync features on your Windows computer. You can directly view and modify the files stored on your iCloud account using the iCloud Drive. While iOS and Windows users  can now enjoy iCloud Drive features, Mac users need to wait until the release of Mac OS X Yosemite possibly this October 2014.

What is iCloud?
iCloud Drive for Windows now available for download. Mac OS users need to wait until the release of Yosemite. iCloud keeps your mail, documents, contacts and calendars up-to-date between your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac and Windows PC.
With iCloud Drive, you can store any file in iCloud. Simply drag your documents into iCloud Drive folder on your PC and access them at any time, on any device.
iCloud Photo Sharing lets you share photos and videos with just the people you choose, and invite friends to add their own photos, videos and comments. My Photo Stream automatically downloads the most recent photos from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to your PC.
iCloud also keeps your Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Google Chrome bookmarks on Windows in sync with your Safari bookmarks.
