I Probably Won't Finish Writing This Blog Post.

Anyone who actually follows my blog (this blog) will realize that I am a procrastinator. I procrastinate to Olympic standards, putting off blog posts, phd proposals, job applications, (you name it- I've put it off), however, since moving in with my Other Half I realize that I am not as bad as I thought, he is inflicted with what is known as 'Chronic Procrastination'.
According to this BBC News Website viewpoint on why we procrastinate so much, 20% of the population are chronic procrastinators, with a whopping 95% of us procrastinating in some way or another. (I'll make sure not to write too much in this post so the reader doesn't put off reading the end).
I'm sure we can all recall a moment or two of procrastination in our lives, whether it is putting off writing that novel or paying the bill or watering the (now dead) plants. We've all been there. At this very moment I am putting off doing my actual work by writing this blog post. The BBC News site asked for reader's comments on procrastinating here and my favorite would have to be:
"I started up the Stirling University Procrastination Society in 1980. It was a resounding success. Not one person bothered to return their registration form on time and we never got round to holding any meetings. Well done us. Yay! JohnB, Berkshire"
Now err... back to work?
