-Daddy! I Love you!
Today is Johan’s birthday, and to make this morning even more chaotic as it usually is a normal schoolday with comments like” where is my shoes mum?” Or I can’t find my Homework with a mixcture of my own ” brush your teeth, don’t forget your packlunch, we need to go know, Johan decided that he wanted to do the schoolrun with me. The whole family including our dog, manage to jump in the car in time. We had the normal conversation about music on or music off, we decided to have it off. It is a 25 minutes drive to school, so we have plenty of time to talk, but suddenly this morning it went all quiet…….
And the silence broke when our eldest son who was sitting in the front beside Johan, turned his head towards him and said ” I love you dad!”
Nothing more, nothing else……..
But in my heart those words grew such a deep joy, can’t even describe it. I’m not even going to try.
We are far from perfect parents, we can improve in many ways, but today my wonderful husband got a message worth more than gold or silver.
” Dad you are doing just fine…..keep up your good work”
And we will……..
