Posted on the 08 November 2012 by Jenstanbrook

A new online department store called HushHush.com is launched offering bargains galore on lots of great brands. Based on the very successful format of MyVoucherCodes.com, Hush Hush is priding itself on being able to give its customers a real deal by offering upto 75% discounts on gorgeous brands.

I don’t know about you but I’m a big fan these discounted sale sites. Who doesn’t like a bargain, right? I subscribe to several of these sites already and receive regular daily updates and notifications of when deals are on offer, or sales are going live. HushHush will be offering products for your home and fashion for your wardrobe picked by a team of expert buyers and I’m interested to see if it can match the success of some of the other big offer sites already out there.

One thing that strikes me as unusual and quite different is the setup around social media that HushHush is trying to engage with. HushHush has been designed from the ground up to be a social website with the option to ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ each unique product. Users will be encouraged to create a wish list of products in order to engage more interactively with them. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr and the soon-to-be launched blog ‘The Secret Post’ are all components of a bigger social picture. Apparently the blog is already attracting vibrant personalities and experts in specific areas to share their top tips and how-tos with readers.

We are all tied in so tightly to social media now aren’t we. Today I spent a fair bit of time getting to grips with a new platform for me, StumbleUpon. It’s a great one for bloggers and I can already see how I might become drawn into this one. Each platform is unique and often has just one feature that allows it to stand out from the rest. As a blogger it’s part of what I do to be engaged in different social media sites, and HushHush are very clever in tapping into that. If it’s done correctly it could really help the site stand out from the crowd.

HushHush.com is Launched: Ssshhh! So keep an eye out for HushHush coming very soon in early November to a computer near you. I, for one, will be watching with interest to see what kinds of products it can offer, and what kind of deals it can put together. But mostly I’m going to be watching that social media element of the site, and I do hope they manage to make a success of it. Good luck HushHush.com!
