Huawei company has once again appeared in news for the launch of mid-range Honor 3C priced at Rs 14,999.

Design & Build Quality:

Honor 3C features a similar design as many other Huawei phones launched this year, but with less rounded corners and a little more slim body.

We got the black version of this device which almost looks like Ascend G700, except some minor differences. Honor 3C is 5.49 inches tall and 2.81 inches wide and its 9.2mm thick.

As we expect from a mid-range device, the body is overall made up of plastic. The front is dominated by a 5-inch LTPS IPS screen which offers a resolution of 720×1280 pixels (294ppi). Though we wished  1080p resolution but the current configuration isn’t bad either.

The viewing angles and brightness levels are really good. One thing which we didn’t liked that it does not have gorilla glass protection layer. So we strictly advise to use a screen protector or cover to avoid damages on the screen for long term uses.

The power/unlock key along with the volume rocker is placed on the right leaving a blank left side.

OS & User Interface(EMUI: Emotion UI )

Honor 3C is powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and EMUI 2.0 on top of it.

Mediatek hadn’t released the source code of KitKat. We hope that Huawei will soon update this device to latest version of Android, however the newer version of Emotion UI will cover all the shortcomings for now.

For those who are not aware with the term Emotion UI (EMUI), It is Huawei’s proprietary Interface, like Asus ZenUI and HTC Sense.

EMUI has no app drawer, due to which all your apps on the home screens are organized in folders. You may also add widgets, change transitions and some other styling look stuff.

Just for your information, this device can be easily rooted but it is not recommended as it will void the warranty or may lead to bricking of device.

Hardware & Performance:

Honor 3C runs on Mediatek MT6582 quad-core processor, which is clocked at the speed of 1.3GHz along with Mali-400MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory.

In case you feel need of more storage space, you can also use a microSD card upto 32GB with this device and can set it as your primary storage.

The real life performance of this device are above our expectations. Generally mid-range phones are considered to be lagging, but with Honor 3C you won’t feel any lag in the normal operation or while using resource hungry apps & games.

Battery Performance:

Honor 3C is loaded with a 2300mAh battery, which really works quite good. For normal users with Wi-Fi connectivity the battery can easily provide you a backup of 2 days. But for power users or 3G internet users you may need to charge the device within 24 hours.

Huawei Honor 3c can work on 3 different power modes, which may help you get maximum time. The smart mode automatically adjust the CPU and network usage whereas the endurance mode kills all the background app tasks and limit the CPU usage to save battery.
