One can never go wrong with a pair of jeans and button down, and if the denim is in a basic black and the button down in the basic white, then the end result is amaze balls....
I always had inhibitions about wearing a high waist: thanks to my post baby paunch, but a black high waist jeans is so wearable and forgiving. In retrospect, I am loving how flattering a high waist could be. The addition of that statement buckle belt, which BTW is a huge trend this spring, distracts further from any bulging belly.
I could see myself wearing this sans the belt to work. For a more professional look, I would add a crisp printed blazer. To sober down, a sneakers over the weekend would be just perfect.
