How To Use Punctuation With Siri

Posted on the 24 October 2011 by Chillpete @geekmeblog
How To Use Punctuation With SiriI queued for 2 hours to get the new iPhone 4s on the day that it was released, and I think that it was worth the wait. One of the things that I like is Siri, and how it can make life a little easier. But on of the problems with it is the inability for the software to add punctuation into the text.
If you can't add things like commas and periods, the text that you send can look odd, and as far as I know Siri doesn't allow direct editing. So how are we going to add punctuation while sending a message?
Imagine that I want to send the following message either as a Text Message or email:
Hi Steve, how are you doing? I really love this whole punctuation thing. See you soon, Peter.
This is what I would have to say to put the punctuation into the text:
Hi cap Steve comma how are you doing question mark cap I really love this punctuation thing full stop cap see you soon comma cap Peter.
And that's all there is to it.
