Anyone who knows me knows I am a sucker for books, I mean the old, addictive smelling kind.
I can spend my last pennies on books and in boarding school everyone knows the only way to win me over is to challenge my book list .
So the natural thing to do was to visit the Hadrian library in the ancient Roman Emperor in 132 on the north side of the Acropolis, right outside the Monastiraki train station and also take a walk to the small shops of Plaka.
Athens is a city with influences from everywhere, the romans, the bavarians, the byzantine. Today"s post as more of the byzantine and roman influences.
