How to Spend Less in Buying Beauty Products
So you’re a girl on a budget. Shopping can be a little tricky, especially for someone who has a beauty habit. Would you believe if I tell you that I can manage to spend a thousand pesos (around USD23.00) for beauty products in six months? Yeah, I totally can. As a beauty enthusiast and student, I have limited money to spend. It is hard, I know, but all it takes is self-control and these five tips on how to spend less on buying beauty products. Interested? Read on below, then!
Avoid impulse buying I know this is kind of hard to do, but believe me; impulse buying costs you twice as much as when you actually plan to shop. Been there, done that. What I try to do every time I see a perfect lipstick shade, or that oh-so-perfect eyeshadow palette, I will try it on first, appreciate its beauty and perfection, then get out of the makeup store to continue shopping. If, after hours of going around the mall, I still think about that lipstick or eyeshadow palette, only then that I will buy it. This method allows me to think thoroughly if the product is a good buy or not.
Use discount coupons Most of you forget about this one. You can always get a discount on beauty products, if you only know where to look at. Most blogs have custom discount codes for their readers (Free International shipping on Sigma Beauty, click here to avail) and some special offers that include gifts as well. A 10% off discount is bigger than you think, so if you see a discount coupon on your favorite bloggers’ blog, use it!

There are some drool-worthy beauty products that cost crazy-high for someone with a tight budget. But being a beauty junkie that you are, you just can’t get over it. You have to have it even if it means spending all of your savings, right? Wrong! You can always score a great dupe for it. All you have to do is research and follow the right person/s in social media. I am a big fan of @dupethat on Instagram; they have dupes for almost everything!
Splurge during big sales The best thing to spend less when buying beauty products is to know when to splurge. Save your money for big sales. This will allow you to shop more with less spending. Especially during holiday seasons when most brands are offering big discounts and giving out special gifts for their customers. It’s a win-win! Or if you prefer to shop online, there’s always a website like, Paylesser that offers deals and promos to different brands. They have Zalora promo codes where you can buy discounted beauty products online. Timing is essential if you really want to save but got many products to buy.
Do the math. Online vs. in-store prices Online shopping is now a big thing. You can almost find and buy everything in just a click of a button. There are online stores that offer the most affordable prices, and while you want to grab the opportunity to save money, you must always do the math first; compare the prices of the products you wish to buy online versus the price in the physical stores. Sometimes, the discount you get online is almost the same as your shipping fee, so technically you paid for the full-price and did not save anything at all. Be a smart shopper. It’s never a bad thing to be practical, yes?
