There is no doubt that sowing parsnips is one of the easiest ways to grow some vegetables in your own garden. They will be fine left to their own devices, and when they're ready to harvest you'll have the perfect accompaniment to your next roast dinner!
Try to remove stones from the ground before planting, and before planting your seeds put them in an airing cupboard over night to help with the germination process. Give the parsnips plenty of room to grow in the raised beds, and give them plenty of sunlight.
