A collection of Dubai and UAE Cuisines
It was a bit chilly and breezy early this morning and the weather outside was just so beautiful with a brilliant blue, cloudless sky. It was a perfect day so I was immediately in the mood for some homemade dessert. This mouth-watering dish is well known as Jazar halwa Dessert in Middle East and is one of the most popular dishes in Arabian Cuisine. I genuinely recommend to try once this marvelous food invention! Made after long hours and lengthy preparations, this simple and elegantly delicious Dessert item never misses a place in your taste.
Jazar Halwa is a simple and hearty dessert dish. I consider of the UAE great comfort foods. Halwa is very easy to make and only has just a few ingredients. There is nothing special or new in this halwa except the addition of sweetened condensed milk. This is the first time I used condensed milk in carrot halwa and I must say it gave a rich texture to the halwa.
