How to make an asparagus vase

When you want your flower arrangement to stand out, it's important to remember that it's not only about your flowers. Your vase will also play a significant role when it comes to enhancing the beauty of your flowers and the theme of the bouquet. We often imagine decorative vases and containers, but there are other ways of making your vase stand out. An asparagus vase adds extra greenery and it gives your arrangement a gorgeous final touch.

You will need:
  • A plain glass jar or vase (cylindrical shape)
  • Enough asparagus to cover the exterior of the vase
  • An elastic band
  • A decorative ribbon
Method:
  • Start by placing the elastic band around the vase (somewhere near the middle).
  • Trim all of your asparagus to the same length according to the height of your vase or jar.
  • Place your asparagus around the vase, behind the elastic band to hold them in place. Make sure that there aren't any gaps in between.
  • Once you have completely covered the exterior of the jar or vase, you can then conceal the elastic band with a decorative ribbon.
  • Now add some water with flower food and allow it to dissolve.
  • Add your flowers just as you would to any other vase and enjoy!
