A celestial bed is, of course, unique and attractive, even if the cat will not care about all that, it is still good to the eye. First of all, we are going to inspect the materials that you need to make this beautiful starry cat bed. That is after you have already identified a suitable shelf that is not far from the ground so that the cat will not have a hard time getting in. That is if there is an elderly cat or kittens.
What do you need to Make a DIY Starry Sky Shelf Cat Bed?
Secondly, we are going to look at the exact steps to be followed so that, you can duplicate a lovely starry shelf cat bed.
After you have checked that you have all the tools, start by taking the simple cardboard sheet, make measured lines on it using a pencil and a ruler. On that extra cardboard space, draw lines along it with a pencil, of course, you need to be using a ruler so that the lines can be straight. Then, keenly crease the lines you have made using the blunt side of the scissors, and then fold it with a ruler which will be easier and neat due to the creasing. Do this to the parallel edges of the cardboard.Make a small cut in two corners that will make it possible to remove the panel anytime you feel like. On that base, apply glue all over the front panel and cover it with a black paperboard. This is what we are going to use to achieve the starry look.
Leave the panel to dry by putting some weight on top of it so that the glue does not take time to dry, remember, we want to get done with this as soon as possible so that kitty can have fun with his new house. Once it is dry, trim off the excess paperboard to make it neat and fitting.
Use the foam sheet as a soft surface for your end product, and then make holes in the panel with wool sewing needle so that you can create the stars. Since the pin will make tiny holes, use the pencil to enlarge some of the starts and when done, turn the panel upside down. Leave the form sheet there as its primary purpose was providing a surface for the starts to be made.
Now, in its upside down state, apply glue to the stars which will be visible and cover it with a white copy paper to achieve the brightness of the stars.
We need to apply LED light strip to the panel which is done by sticking a double-sided tape on the LED back and gluing it to the top fold. This marks the ends of the star panel. We the n assemble the panel to the shelf case. Apply double-sided tape with paperboard on both sides with a power cord from the back panel.
Now to apply the star panel, plug in the led light and slid in the panel until it is tightly held.Then apply paperboard on top and bottom. Immediately you put the lights on; the beautiful stars will be visible.
