It is noticed that with the passage of time, love between the married couples demonstrates a downward trend. In order to live a comfortable and emotionally stable life, you must have a lasting loving relationship throughout your life. A little planning can do wonders for you.

How to Ensure a Lasting Love in Your Married Life

The Foundations of a Successful Marriage

It is important that, right from the start, you should set your life in the right direction. While choosing your spouse, see the family background critically. It should be seen how the parents of your future spouse had been behaving with each other. Were they having cordial relationship or were they always at dagger drawn? Surely your spouse will copy the parents at any stage of life. The family should not be in the habit of taking liquors or any other kind of addiction. Try to analyze the conversation of your potential spouse to learn about the true personality and mindset. Always read in between the lines whatever is said or expressed. Do not give in very frequently and on principled stances. Go for sincere love. Find out whether your future life partner helps you in time of distress or is just a fair-weather friend.

Love Should be Explicit and Visible

Though many people will argue that true love resides in heart and need not be made public, I do not agree. Time has changed and demands that everything should be explicitly visible. If you expect your spouse to show the love, you should also reciprocate in the same manner. Giving your spouse pleasant surprises can do wonders in mutual relationship. Presenting gifts, offering meals and sending lovely messages on cell phone or emails are appropriate ways of ensuring a lasting love.

Find Time to Refresh Your Love

Love needs reassurances. It is like a physical exercise that keeps your muscles toned for a healthy life. If you are extremely busy in your profession and you are not able to find time for your spouse, take it for granted that your loving relationship will fade away with the passage of time. With your indifferent attitude, your spouse will 'learn' to live without you. Similarly, if you have children, they can become a barrier between your loving relationships. Take out time and leave your kids alone, duly committing them to some safe and constructive activity. Give them some interesting task to perform / complete, and meanwhile both of you can have a good time to discuss romance. Even if you have to hire a babysitter for the kids, it is a good investment for the sake of your future successful life. Remember, nothing is more precious than a true love.
