How to Dress up Your Blacks

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
Disclosure- Thanks to SammyDress for making this post possible .
Not only is an all black monochromatic look a no-brainer, it also makes for the perfect canvas for showcasing your favorite colors, prints and textured accessories. Black is an all-season color and transiting it from one season to other requires zero effort.
  • take cues from your environment- Fall is the most beautiful season, with all the warm shades of red, orange and yellow, there is so much of inspiration all around. My mustard moto, olive boots and burgundy lipstick are just a sartorial interpretation  of what my eyes see everywhere.
  • add season-appropriate texture/details - in conjunction to the beautiful color-play autumn has to exhibit, this season allows you to experiment with various textures and patterns. Leather, suede, nubuck, velvet, name it and you can rock the same without any guilt or faux-paus.
  • add a statement piece- I always advocate adding a statement piece to any look, just for that personal signature touch. In my case the men-inspired watch and the printed blouse do the needful.

On a different note, I shot this outfit in my backyard, giving you all a peek into another unit of my house. It needs a little work which I'm afraid will have to wait until spring. But I am glad I could put this part of my house to some work-related use.
