The infographic above from New Scientist depicts the symbolic language found in prehistoric cave etchings from 35,000 to 10,000 B.C. Scientists discovered similar symbols in caves around the world, suggesting that early humans attempted to express their thoughts through a fairly intricate language, rather than simplistic drawings.
