Hottest Travel Deals I Found On The Internet [November 15]

So you'd have known me by now as the curious soul who's forever wanderlust-ing.

I do love the feeling of waking up in my own heavenly bed after a long trip. But give it a week or so, and you'll spot me hunting for the next travel destination on the inter-web. After all, the best way to beat post-travel blues is to book another trip! Don't you agree?

Sadly, for us fellow Aussies travel feet, with our Aussie dollar reaching its lowest point since 2009 against US dollar, you might be thinking now is not quite the time to book that overseas holiday you've been pinning on Pinterest - but don't despair. I'm telling ya there are still some hottest travel deals to be found, and in places you may not have thought of! So when IMB asked me to share the absolute knockout travel deals I've spotted lately, I thought this is totally up my alley. Curious as a puppy to find out what they are? Here, I present you these 4 smoking hot travel deals I spied.

1 ♠ Fields of Bali

Traditionally Aussies have held Bali high on their list of destinations. Do you know that over 10% of travelling Aussie's heading to Indonesia each year, second only to New Zealand? However, Bali has in recent years been positioning itself as a new luxury destination. Hotel, shopping and food prices are no longer rock bottom unless you are prepared to head out of the main tourist areas. Bali does suffer from the occasional blow such as the current ash cloud situation which periodically causes us travellers to reconsider Bali as an option. However, if you are prepared to take your chances, flights are currently at all-time low prices, leaving you more in your pocket to splurge on that outdoor jacuzzi room, pampering spa sesh or simply an extra glass of Piña colada by the pool.

Flight Centre currently has return flights from $202 and with Air Asia just launched direct Sydney-Bali Flights in October this year, sizzling deals on Bali flights seem certain to stick around for a while I'd say!

TIP: Enjoy a sunset cocktail and #liveitup in the eco luxe bars and hotels along the beach front but head somewhere cheaper and local for dinner. Once the sun has set, better and cheaper food (most likely more authentic too) can be found off the main tourist drags.

2 ♠ 100% Pure New Zealand

New Zealand is still a popular option, and with flights from Flight Centre starting at $318, what is not to like? The ease of driving around New Zealand is not lost on those who don't mind a self- drive holiday with a 14 day South Island Self Drive Holiday including a Milford Sound Scenic Cruise coming in at $NZ1,399.

TIP: New Zealand can be hard to get around if you don't have transport. Even travelling to attractions around Auckland can set you back a hefty sum if you plan on relying on taxis. Do plenty of research and plan your most efficient forms of transport before jet-setting.

3 ♠ Hit the high seas

We're all for cruising as a hassle-free travel option for those who like to have everything paid for upfront so they can sit back and relax without opening their wallets. Cruises do go on sale several times a year so it's a good idea to keep an eye out for these sales and snag a bargain.

Currently spotted is P&O's Pacific Pearl Vanuatu cruise departing Sydney with a quad room coming in at $654 per person. For a family of four that is a ten-day family holiday with all food and accommodation included for under $3,000.

TIP: Budget yourself a little extra for on shore excursions.

4 ♠ Stars and Stripes

Although the Australian dollar is not performing so well against USD, you'll be surprised to know that America is still a cheaper country to travel in than Australia.

Don't rule out a self-drive holiday in the US, companies such as Escape Campervans (who also run a company in New Zealand) will get you into a van for 21 days at just under $US50 a day with one hundred included miles per day. You do need to pay for petrol and campsites, however, campsites in the US start from just $USD7 per night - amazing stuff, right? If you don't mind doing some cooking, your daily budget for your holiday could sit below $US150 for a couple.
