Do you struggle getting your kids to bathe? I feel like I am constantly reminding my kids to take a bath or shower. I feel like they would go days without taking a bath if I didn’t remind them. By now you would think my teenagers would have it down, but I am still reminding them.
One afternoon, my youngest son saw one of those LED shower heads on my G+ profile. He told me that he wanted 0ne of the red LED shower heads. Mind you he doesn’t like taking showers very often because he can’t play like he does in the bathtub. However, with my back issues getting him into the shower is so much easier on my back. I find it very difficult to lean over the bathtub even for short periods of time. So when I found an opportunity to review the HotelSpa® Spectrum 7-color LED Hand Shower, I signed up so that I could try and surprise my youngest son.
One afternoon, the doorbell rang and the delivery guy was there to drop off a package. I immediately opened it to see what we got. When I noticed that it was the shower head, I told my youngest son that the package was for him. He opened it up and the look on his face was priceless. He was so excited that he got his LED shower head. I took it out of the packaging and installed it the next day.
It took me about 5 minutes to install it. I noticed that in some of the reviews on the Internet that people were having trouble with it leaking. When you install it, you have to use the white plumbers tape around the shower head. This helps seal it so that it doesn’t leak. I used my hand to tighten it and I haven’t had any issues with it.
I love that it doesn’t take any batteries to operate it. The LED lights are powered by the running water and they are supposed to last over 100,000 hours even with heavy use, which is roughly 10 years of use.
You can use it as an overhead or handheld shower. I love that it is 4.25 inches in diameter, it is so much bigger than the other handheld shower head that I had in my bathroom. It automatically changes colors every few seconds. Plus it has 7 settings:
- Power Rain
- Pulsating Massage
- Hydrating Mist
- Mist/Massage
- Rain/Mist
- Water-saving Economy Rain
- Pause modes
