About François Champsaur

François Champsaur is a French interior designer. He was born in Marseilles but has been based in Paris since the late ’80s. His Mediterranean roots have influenced his work. He studied at the Ecole des beaux-arts and went on to train at the Ecole nationale des arts décoratifs (ENSAD). In 1996, he started up his own interior design company.

From his earliest projects at the Maison Troisgros in Roanne and Café de l’Alma in Paris, François has displayed his ability to transform any space, considering each and every aspect from an architectural angle and with the finest detail. He intelligently reworks space, playing with light and volume, and compliments this with both elegant and contemporary furniture and fabrics.

His work on The Metropolitan hotel, which was inaugurated in May 2009, was a true example of his talent for marrying sophistication and comfort. This new hotel seduces us with its stunning architecture and furnishings.

In 2011, François completed the transformation of a quainted 24 rooms hotel in the 8th district of Paris and signed the opening of the Yearlings equestrian auction hall in Deauville.

With both vision and discretion François Champsaur steps back, allowing the space to become a living creation.
