Hot Take Zero IBU IPA – Twin Sails Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody comes their "Hot Take Zero IBU IPA". This IPA has zero IBU do to adding all the hops after the boil. The beer pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. The aroma consists of tons of tropical very juicy fruits, sweetness and floral hops. The flavour is of mango, pineapple, citrus, juicy, caramel with floral and herbal hops but absolutely no bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 7% with an IBU of 0. This is a really tasty beer but will be very confusing for people that expect a bitter beer when they drink an IPA. Keep up the amazing experimentation Twin Sails!

Commercial Description: Hot Take is our Zero IBU IPA. We threw a ton of hops into this beer but managed to keep the IBU at zero by adding all of the hops after the boil. That meant, two huge dry hoppings as well as lupulin powder added during the whirlpool and recirculated during the last dry hop. Doing this allows the beer to keep all of that big fruity hop flavour and aroma with out any of the bitter flavour.
