Sorry for the lack of new exhibits. Following the problems I was having late last month into early this month, I have decided to switch hosting companies. I hope to begin this switch this week. During the switch, this website may be unavailable for periods of time. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but ultimately I hope this switch will be for the better.
In preparation for the switch, I have been working on reducing the number of plugins this website uses. I have removed the font resizing widget from the right navigation bar, and the arrow to scroll back to the top. If you used either of these and need them back, please let me know in the comments below.
I have also made changes to the “related posts” that show on each post, below the content but above the “About the author” block. I have removed the “Yet Another Related Posts Plugin” and activated the related posts functionality in Jetpack. Unfortunately, there is currently a bug in Jetpack Related Posts with using the Customizer, so my changes are not complete yet.
I have also cobbled together a solution for the problem I mentioned with the printable version of the exhibit pages. The images were left-justified instead of centered. I have made changes to the WordPress Caption shortcode and the pages look better to me now. If you have any problem with the appearance of this website, especially with images and captions, please let me know as soon as possible by using the Contact the Curator form.
I will continue to post updates on the progress of the transition, and hope to be able to resume posting new exhibits as early as next weekend.
